The Publish step closes the event creation path. For a new event it opens with Your event is almost ready to publish and the note Review your settings and allow everyone to find your event.; for an event that is already approved it opens with Your event is already live and Your event is already live. Save your changes to publish updates immediately. Submission for review starts here.

At a glance

  • Where: event dashboard → Edit event → step Publish in the sidebar (after Event page, Add tickets and, where present, Edit seating map); you also get there with Save and continue from the ticket step.
  • Permissions: Manage events to save the step and submit it for review.
  • What you get: category, organizer, visibility, tags, lineup and pixel saved in the draft; with Publish event (or Publish changes) the event moves to Under review (or Changes under review).
  • Saving: automatic one second after every change; the indicator at the bottom of the page shows Saving..., Saved or Error.
  • App: the Nightify Business app does not include this step.

Before you start

  • First complete Event page (main image, title and description, dates, location) and Add tickets (at least one access title): the review also checks that data and stops the submission if something is missing.
  • Events with SIAE ticketing also require the organizer phone number verified with OTP; it is not required for other events.
  • The event must not already be under review and you must hold control of the editor.

Step by step

  1. Event type and category. Section description: Type and category help your event appear in more searches. Choose the Primary category and, if it strengthens the theme, the Secondary category; both selects start with -- None --. What you see: the form does not force you to choose, but without at least one category the submission for review stops with Select at least one type.
  2. Organized by. Description: Confirm which organization will be shown as the event organizer. The Your organization row shows the logo and the name; the View or edit organizer information link opens the Organization information window with the organization settings to check or update.
  3. Is your event public or private? Description: Choose who can find and open the event page. Choose between Public - Shared on NIGHTIFY and search engines, Private - Shared only with a selected audience and Private with password - Access only after password verification; the last one shows the Event password field (see the dedicated article).
  4. Tags. In the field with the Add tag placeholder type a keyword: the suggestions show the existing tags, or No tags found and the Create new tag "…" entry to create it. Every tag you choose becomes a chip with the x (Remove).
  5. Artist lineup. Description: Add and order the artists or speakers taking part in the event. In the Add artist field search for the name; if it does not exist choose Create new artist "…". With at least one artist the Drag to reorder note appears: the order sets the weight in the lineup.
  6. Tracking pixel code. Description: Add a tracking pixel to measure visits and conversions from your campaigns. Paste up to two official snippets in the field (placeholder Paste only official Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google tag/GTM snippets).
  7. Check the saving. What you see: at the bottom of the page the indicator goes from Saving... to Saved about one second after every change; with Error the save did not succeed: edit a field again to repeat it; if you leave the page with a pending save, the console tries to complete it before you go.
  8. Submit. Press Publish event (first submission) or Publish changes (event already approved). Result: the step is saved and checked: if there are problems the There are issues with your event cards appear at the top, one per problem, with the button that takes you to the field to fix; if everything is correct you are taken back to the event dashboard, which shows Event under review (for changes Changes under review) with Verification may take up to 12 hours. You will receive an email once the review is complete. Next to it Publish images only may appear, available only for an event that is already live whose draft images differ from the published ones.
