Visibility is set in the Publish step, in the Is your event public or private? section (Choose who can find and open the event page.), and decides who can find and open the event page. The selling rules (tickets, prices, capacity) are the same in every case.

Step by step
- Open the section. In the Publish step scroll to Is your event public or private?. What you see: three options, each with a hint: for the public one Make the event visible on NIGHTIFY and searchable on the web. Best for maximum reach., for the private one Show the event only to people who have the link or are invited. Ideal for private events., for the private one with password Require a password before opening the event page and booking flow.
- Choose the option. The selection is saved automatically after about one second (Saved indicator).
- For the private one with password fill in Event password. What you see: the Event password field (placeholder Enter a secure password) appears only with the third option. Under the field, the first time, you read Set a password: it will be required for event and booking access.; on an event that already has a password you read Leave empty to keep the currently configured password. instead. If you change option the field hides and empties.
- Submit. Press Publish event or Publish changes: visibility takes effect on approval.
- Share the link. In the Live events list the row menu has Copy link; in the dashboard the options menu has Share event and View event page. Give the password to your guests through a separate channel.

What the fan sees
- Public event: ordinary page, reachable from search and shareable.
- Private event: ordinary page from the link; no result in search.
- Event with password: the This event is protected page (tab title Password-protected event) with the text Enter the password to view the event page and continue to booking., the Password field and the Access event button. Direct links to the booking lead here first too: You must enter the event password before continuing.

Special cases
- You change the password. The access the fans already obtained is tied to the password in force: whoever had already opened the page finds This event is protected again and has to enter the new one. There is no dedicated message.
- You want to reserve only some ticket types instead of the whole event: leave the event public and use the Limited visibility on the access titles.
- The Visibility column shows Removed. In Live events the Visibility column reads Public, Private, Private with password or Removed: the last one means that publication of the event has been suspended, from the row menu with Suspend publication or by the Nightify administration; Enable publication turns it back on.
Rules and limits
- Password from 8 to 72 characters with at least one letter and one number; 6 attempts every 15 minutes for each visitor, then a 15-minute block.
- The password is never shown in the console: if you forget it, set a new one.
- Promotions are available only for events published with public visibility.
