An organizer can publish an event as Private with password: it does not appear in searches and whoever opens the link has to enter the password before seeing the page and booking. This is the case for private parties, reserved previews and closed lists.
At a glance
- Where: the This event is protected page that opens from the event link.
- What you need: the link and the password, both provided by the organizer. Nightify does not know and cannot share the passwords of events.
- How long it lasts: the unlock stays valid for the browser or app session; on another device it has to be repeated.
- Sign-in required: no, to unlock the page; yes, to book, as for every event.
Step by step
- Open the link. What you see: the This event is protected page (browser tab title: Password-protected event) with the text Enter the password to view the event page and continue to booking.
- Enter the password. Type it in the Password field, respecting upper and lower case, and press Access event.
- Continue. Result: the normal event page opens; from here you book as for any other event.
Messages and errors
| Message | Why it appears | What to do |

Special cases
- The page asks for the password again: you changed browser or device, the session expired or the organizer changed the password.
- You share the link with friends: everyone has to enter the password; the link alone is not enough.
- Private event without a password: it opens directly from the link but does not appear in searches.
- What the password looks like: the organizer has to choose one of at least 8 characters with at least one letter and one number; Nightify stores it only in encrypted form.
