Nightify’s search is one search for everything: with the same word you find events, venues, cities, organizations and artists. You can start from an exact name (the venue, the DJ, the title of the night) or browse by city, date and category.

At a glance

  • Where: website: the magnifying-glass icon at the top (Open search) and the Explore events page; app: the Search tab.
  • What it searches: event titles, venue names, cities, organizations and artists; suggestions appear while you type.
  • Filters: on the website the city (the Search by city field) and the category tiles; in the app category, date, city and the shortcuts In progress, Today, Tomorrow, Weekend.
  • Sign-in required: no.

Step by step on the website

  1. Open the search. Tap the magnifying-glass icon at the top. What you see: the Search by events, venues, cities, organizations or artists field.
  2. Type at least one word. While you type, the suggestions appear divided into Events (with the venue of each one; with an empty field the section is called Suggested events for you), Organizations and Artists. Result: tapping a suggestion opens that page straight away.
  3. Open the full list. Press Search or Enter. What you see: the Explore events page (Explore venues and events when the city search is active) with the title Search results and the events matching the word you searched for.
  4. Refine. Choose a city in the Search by city field and tap a category among the tiles at the top; the x next to the field and the Remove filter command clear the active filter.
  5. Browse and open. At the bottom you find the pagination (Page N); each event opens with a tap on its card.

Step by step in the app

  1. Open the Search tab and type in the Search by events, venues, cities, organizations or artists field. What you see: a single list that updates while you type; the rows of artists and organizations carry the uppercase label ARTIST or ORGANIZATION.
  2. Use the chips under the bar. Category opens Select the category (with All); When opens the Select a date calendar; Where chooses the city; In progress, Today, Tomorrow and Weekend apply a date with one tap.
  3. Read the active chips. With a date filter active, the chip shows the chosen date (for example 12 Sep, for the weekend 12 Sep - 14 Sep) and the Category chip shows the name of the category; Weekend covers Friday to Sunday. Date filters are mutually exclusive: choosing one replaces the previous one. To clear a filter use the removal command on the chip (accessibility label Remove …).
  4. Open the result. Tap the event for its details, or the artist or the organization for the profile with the upcoming events.
