Two weeks to go until Metallica’s only Italian concert of 2026. On Wednesday 3 June the band brings the M72 World Tour to the Renato Dall’Ara stadium in Bologna. The concert was announced on 22 May 2025 by Live Nation. The European leg of the tour kicked off on 9 May at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
The stage in the middle of the stadium
The M72 World Tour has already drawn four million concertgoers in 2023 and 2024. The stage is in-the-round: it sits in the middle of the stadium, with the audience all around it. In the centre of the stage is the Snake Pit, the audience area closest to the band.
The guests: Gojira and Knocked Loose
Before Metallica, the stage belongs to Gojira, the French metal band, and Knocked Loose, a hardcore group from Kentucky. They are the same guests announced alongside the Bologna date.
