The international autumn of the Alcatraz in Milan: Amon Amarth, José González, Kneecap and Polyphia

From 10 to 25 November 2026 the Alcatraz in Milan packs in four very different concerts: Amon Amarth on the 10th, José González on the 17th, Kneecap on the 24th and Polyphia on the 25th, within a calendar that holds together metal, folk, rap and progressive.

There are venues that change audience four or five times within the same month. The Alcatraz in Milan is one of them: its November 2026 lines up Scandinavian metal, singer-songwriter folk, rap in the Irish language and progressive guitar playing, with four international dates in the space of two weeks.

The four dates

  • Tuesday 10 November: Amon Amarth, the Swedish band that has turned Viking-inspired melodic death metal into a show with its own unmistakable staging.
  • Tuesday 17 November: José González, the Swedish singer-songwriter of Argentinian descent, voice and classical guitar, among the most recognizable names in contemporary folk.
  • Tuesday 24 November: Kneecap, the Northern Irish trio who rap in Irish and English and who in recent years have become a European phenomenon.
  • Wednesday 25 November: Polyphia with the BE NOT AFRAID World Tour, the Texan group that has brought instrumental virtuosity in front of a young, mainstream audience.

The rest of the calendar

Around those four dates the programme of the venue on via Valtellina stays packed: Shinedown on 2 November, Bleachers on the 5th, Beast in Black on the 18th, Carpenter Brut with HEALTH on the 20th and Saint Levant on the 26th. December brings Accept with Half a Century of Metal 1976-2026 on the 2nd and Kodaline on the 3rd. In between, the Italian programming and the club formats the Alcatraz has always kept alive.

Why it is worth following

The Alcatraz is one of the few mid-capacity rooms in Milan where an international tour can stop without going through the arenas: that means seeing festival bands in a club-sized space, often on the only Italian date of their European run. It is also the reason why, in autumn, the calendar changes genre almost every evening.
