After the first weekend of Coachella, The Strokes unveil the world tour that accompanies their new album and confirm just one concert in Italy: Saturday 17 October 2026 at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, a few kilometres from Bologna, as part of Reality Awaits Europe 2026.
The new album
Reality Awaits is the New York band’s seventh studio album: it is out on 26 June 2026 on Cult Records/RCA, was recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin and is previewed by the single Going Shopping. It arrives six years after The New Abnormal (2020).
The tour and the support acts
The tour starts in June and runs through the autumn across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and Japan, with two dates at Red Rocks and concerts at London’s O2 Arena, the Accor Arena in Paris and the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. In Bologna the openers will be Fat White Family and Alex Cameron.
Getting there
The concert launches Rivoluzione Mobilità Green, the project of the Municipality of Casalecchio di Reno, the Unipol Arena and Trenitalia Tper with the Emilia-Romagna Region: for the first time an integrated rail ticket Bologna Centrale–Arena will be available, and it will be possible to book parking in advance through TicketOne.
