The former Talking Heads frontman returns to Italy with a show that combines concert, dance and theatre. David Byrne brings the Who Is the Sky? tour to the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan for two dates, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February 2026: they are the only ones in Italy.
The album
Who Is the Sky? was released on 5 September 2025 on Matador Records. It was produced by Kid Harpoon, the arrangements are by members of the Ghost Train Orchestra and the guests on the record include St. Vincent, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, drummer Tom Skinner and percussionist Mauro Refosco.
The show
On stage Byrne will be joined by 13 performers, among them musicians, singers and dancers, many of whom already starred in American Utopia, the show that toured the world and went from Broadway to the cinema. The repertoire combines songs from the new album with classic tracks rearranged for this ensemble, with music, movement and staging conceived as a single story.
The tour
The world tour started in North America in September 2025, passed through Australia and New Zealand in January 2026 and between February and March crosses Europe and the UK. Milan is the Italian stop.
