Bari welcomes back big international electronic music. On Saturday 5 September 2026 the Nuova Fiera del Levante hosts the first edition of SONO Metropolitan Fest, with the stage at the Arena del Levante: a 10,000 m² area designed to hold up to 14,000 people.
The line-up
Three headliners for three different ways of experiencing techno:
- Paul Kalkbrenner (live): the Berlin producer who turned live electronic music into a mass-audience experience.
- Nina Kraviz: Siberian DJ and producer, one of the most recognisable names in world techno.
- Rivo: a producer with a melodic techno and afro house sound.
More than a music event
The organizers present SONO as a cultural platform: alongside the stage there are a food area and a life village, installations, exhibitions, workshops and discussions dedicated to safety and responsible fun. The event is organized by Musicaeparole, PM Eventi and Faraway Agency, under the patronage of the Municipality of Bari, the Metropolitan City of Bari and the Fiera del Levante.
Why this event is not to be missed
Seeing Kalkbrenner and Kraviz at the same event, in Puglia and in the open air, is a rare opportunity. With SONO the organizers aim to bring big international electronic music back to the Bari metropolitan area and to involve the whole city.
