Every summer a medieval village in the Madonie becomes Sicily’s capital of independent music. Ypsigrock Festival returns from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 August 2026 to Castelbuono (PA) for its 29th edition: four days between the castle square, the cloister of a former convent and the campsite set in the Madonie Park.

Among the latest names announced is Chet Faker, the electronic and soul project of Australian Nick Murphy. The bill is still open: for each day the organizers have indicated more artists yet to be announced.
Why this event is not to be missed
Ypsigrock is considered Italy’s first boutique festival, and for almost thirty years it has lived by a rule with no equal: Ypsi Once, under which each artist can play the festival’s stages only once in a lifetime. Every edition is therefore unrepeatable. This year the bill brings together two of the best-loved bands of new British rock, Black Country, New Road and Dry Cleaning, the oblique songwriting of Cate Le Bon, the country rock of Wednesday and i cani, Niccolò Contessa’s project.
