South of Rome, the autumn of cinema turns to horror. Cinecittà World devotes the whole period from 3 October to 1 November 2026 to Halloween, but the moment that keeps the park open into the late hours is the grand finale on the weekend of Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November: live shows, themed dinners, music and DJ sets after the daytime attractions close.
What is new in 2026
- The Haunted Theatre: the big novelty of the year, an old Broadway theatre where, according to the park’s story, damned souls have been wandering since 1930.
- Horror House: the cinematic walk-through returns expanded, with new rooms, sets and live actors.
- Inferno: the indoor roller coaster that travels through Dante’s circles of hell.
- Spooky Town Playground: a large indoor play area with live performers, designed for younger children.
- Villaggio Piccoli Brividi: hay bale mazes, pumpkins, candy houses and face painting, the sweetest part of the programme.
The shows
Alongside the attractions the park stages its own bill of shows: the comedy Ciak, si muore dal ridere!, the musical The Last Night Horror Show loosely inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the western show La Leggenda di Black Town and the stunt show Motori, Ciak… Azione!.
Why this event is not to be missed
It is the only Italian Halloween built inside a park dedicated to cinema: the settings do not reference horror in general terms, they rebuild its sets. And unlike the big 31 October festivals, here the day starts in mid-morning and the after-dark part comes at the end, so the same ticket covers very different audiences — families with children included.
