Information
Jake Xerxes Fussell, a Georgia native now living in North Carolina, has established himself as a devoted listener and thoughtful interpreter of various so-called folk songs, which he lovingly selects from his personal collection. He has released five studio albums, including his debut album 'Paradise of Bachelors' in 2015. His latest studio album 'When I'm Called' was produced by James Elkington and features contributions from Ben Whiteley (The Weather Station), Joe Westerlund (Bon Iver, California), and others. Blake Mills provides guitar parts on several tracks, while Joan Shelley and Robin Holcomb provide background vocals. Pitchfork praised him for interpreting these old folk songs with such authority and creativity.
