Information
A packed stage for the opening of Jazz à la Villette 2026, with a special collaboration between the New York collective Snarky Puppy and the Metropole Orkest. Exactly ten years after taking the stage at the Grande Halle for a concert that is still remembered, Snarky Puppy returns with an XL version of the great blend of genres that has made it successful for two decades now. Jazz, funk, rhythm and blues, soul, rock, gospel or contemporary music, the collective has been able to melt all these musics together in an American melting pot to create a sound and style of its own. Snarky Puppy is now reuniting with the very large ensemble of the Metropole Orkest, a Dutch institution that is also a specialist in building bridges between aesthetics. After their 2015 Sylva, an orchestral suite awarded a GRAMMY, the two ensembles released Somni in 2025, an album of mad ambition – a great crossing of all borders – that comes fully into its own where it was recorded: on stage. Unmissable. Tickets go on sale on May 12.
