Information
Double bassist Javier Colina and Cuban pianist “Cucurucho” Valdés come together to pay a heartfelt tribute to the great Bebo Valdés in the year of the tenth anniversary of his passing. For this project they revive part of the repertoire that Bebo Valdés and Javier Colina recorded as a duo at the prestigious Village Vanguard in New York, also including other pieces from the Cuban popular heritage, as well as some original compositions that share the age-old musical textures of the Caribbean island.
