Information
The unique blend offered by Dead Meadow, combining Black Sabbath-style riffs, mesmerizing fuzz guitar washes and the melodic voice of singer Jason Simon, has won over fans of psychedelic pop / rock and stoner rock alike. Although the band members met at all-ages shows in the punk / indie scene of Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area, the trio draws more of its inspiration from classic rock legends such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. The trio formed in the fall of 1998 with singer and guitarist Simon, bassist Steve Kille and drummer Mark Laughlin. The three members set out to merge their love of early-'70s hard rock and '60s psychedelia to create a distinctive sound. Children over the age of 6 are admitted to the Molotov only under the supervision of a legal guardian. Wearing noise-cancelling headphones is mandatory; failing that, high-isolation earplugs must be used. In the absence of the legal guardian or the required hearing protection equipment, entry will systematically be refused.
