You Wanted a Party? is a year-long residency inspired by the sounds and styles of early-2000s New York and the rise of modern indie-pop-party-punk-disco-sleaze. It's an indie sleaze night where punk is the new disco, and disco is the new punk. Think LCD Soundsystem posing with Charli XCX, on a Blue Monday, in London, calling for slacked jawed The Dare, whose powder covered face has just kissed Julian Casablancas’ vodka-lime-soda-tasting lips.
