Sala Apolo and In-Edit present **CINECLUB 113**. Every Monday in July and August, the (3) transforms into an open-air cinema. Nine musical documentaries that explore Latin American music and club culture. A selection of the best from the In-Edit Barcelona Festival in recent editions. Finally, a reason to wait for the start of the week. **Documentary La Danza de los Mirlos + Vitu Valera (DJ Set)** *Álvaro Luque* 2022 | Peru | 84 min | V.O. in Spanish The most recognized band in the Amazonian region, Los Mirlos, has a history of synthesizing a musical genre that emerges from ancestral roots, family, and exploration of other rhythms, such as psychedelic rock of the 1960s. Alongside the leader and vocalist of the band, Jorge Rodríguez, we embark on a journey to the heart of Latin America. Álvaro Luque studied in Argentina at the Fundación Universidad del Cine (FUC). In Peru, he developed his career as a director. He created the production company Saturno with his brother Alonso. His first short film, “LUX” (2014), received the Special Jury Award at the Curta Cinema Rio de Janeiro and was selected in various international festivals. Currently, he is working on his first feature-length documentary “La Danza de Los Mirlos,” which tells the story of the legendary cumbia band from the Amazon.
