Information
Parasite Jazz and Sax Tape in concert in Madrid with DJ Tim Franklin. The sound of Parasite Jazz moves through covers, samples, processed voice, repetitions and drift – part of an electric ritual, part of a soundtrack to a sweaty dream. Sax Tape works in that space where the saxophone, the cassette and the loops no longer function correctly. Their sound has the appearance of a damaged broadcast: sticky echoes, heavy bass and rhythms that bend without ever losing the beat. There are dub, friction, insistence and also a strange elegance in the way everything is exactly the right amount of confused. Sax Tape will heat up the night once it arrives. Tim Franklin is a DJ who doesn't let anyone go home too early. His sets naturally move from Cuban music to dub, from jungle to Brazilian pop music, from salsa to new wave music – with the instinct of a person who is here to extend the night rather than manage it. At F.T.C.N. Ediciones & Real No Real, will be responsible for closing the first hours of the morning.
