Abigail Lapell, a rising star in folk music, will perform at the Les Femmes s'en Mêlent festival in Paris.Originally from Toronto, she composed modern, engaging and magnificent folk chansons.The music of «Prairie Noir» or «Canadian Desert Rock» can also be qualified by the music of Laura Veirs, The Innocence Mission or Gillian Welch.After six Canadian Folk Music Awards and the suite of their album, Anniversary, (launched in 2024 and nominated for the Juno Awards) acclaimed for its review and co-production by Tony Dekker of Great Lake Swimmers;The album returns with a new album (released in 2026) entitled « Shadow Child » with producer Colin Stewart (Dan Mangan, Black Mountain) recorded on the Vancouver Island in British Columbia with 9 chansons reminiscent of many mothers for a new chef d'œuvre.Retenons notre souffle, Abigail Lapell is coming to Paris.
