Lol Tolhurst is best known as a founding member of The Cure, one of the most influential and acclaimed bands.Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he has also been featured in various projects, including his memoirs 'Cured – The Tale Of Two Imaginary Boys' (2016) and the podcast 'Curious Creatures'.A childhood friend of Robert Smith, he met him at age 5 in the West Sussex area and co-founded The Cure in 1976 as a drummer.The band went on tours and released notable albums (Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds, Faith, Pornography).After leaving the band in 1989 following Disintegration, Tolhurst moved to Southern California and continued with Levinhurst before reuniting with The Cure in 2011. His book 'Cured' has gained international success and led to numerous public appearances.He later recorded with Budgie and producer Jacknife Lee for the album 'Los Angeles', featuring guests like The Edge or James Murphy.In 2023, he published 'GOTH: A History', exploring the history of the movement through groups like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, and Joy Division.
