Super!Present COLA on October 28, 2026 at Petit Bain!Cola, the Montreal trio formed by Tim Darcy (singer/guitarist), Ben Stidworthy (bassist) and Evan Cartwright (drummer), announces its new album, Cost of Living Adjustment, which will be released on May 8th via Fire Talk Records, and presents it with its first single accompanied by a music video, 'Hedgesitting'.The album is an acronym for Cost of Living Adjustment, a concept designed for the group's third record.Why?Because COLA is interested in, among others, socialism versus hell.The album also evokes: the fact of throwing the cards of life.The sweet, strange emotions that can come from nostalgia.Cost of Living Adjustment is a complex, magnificent, and sometimes strange record.It is the group's most mature work: the evolution of carefully honed aesthetic impulses.According to Darcy, COLA, as a group, defines itself as 'tasteful minimalism'.A deep appreciation for romantic, subtle and intense music.However, COLA is the group's most extensive work so far.Indeed, this minimalism means that a song like 'Hedgesitting' combines both live drums and sampled drums.
