Baptiste W. Hamon returns to Archipel with 'Frenchycana', a concert that combines French and American music.Between Nashville and Paris, Frenchycana offers a musical journey through two worlds: French song and American popular music, folk, blues and country.Strengthened by his knowledge of these genres, Hamon explores the known and lesser-known links that unite Georges Moustaki, Bob Dylan, Johnny Hallyday, Johnny Cash, Joe Dassin, Dolly Parton, Nana Mouskouri or Leonard Cohen.Through revised footage and some engaging stories, Hamon chronicles the influence of folk and country on French song and the bridges that connect these two genres despite their different geographical, historical and literary roots. This show is also a musical confession: that of an artist who found inspiration in the raw sincerity of Southern American folk poetry, as well as in his French generation.
