Information
On Thursday, May 28th, from 7 PM to 10 PM, the installation Paper / Northern Lights by Gianni Pettena will be activated through the body.In the framework of the Public Program curated by Davide Giannella, Annamaria Ajmone will intervene in the space with a live performance designed to enter into direct dialogue with the work.As one of the most interesting dancers and choreographers in the contemporary Italian scene, Ajmone works on the body as an unstable material that undergoes continuous transformations. Her performances are often seen as open ecosystems where movement, environment, and the presence of the audience coexist without precise hierarchies.More than occupying a space, her work seems to slowly modify its perception. This research, which has traversed festivals and international institutions over the years – from La Biennale Danza to Palais de Tokyo, to Triennale Milano and Santarcangelo Festival – maintains a processual and collective dimension. From 2016 to 2023, she has also curated Nobody's Indiscipline, an independent platform dedicated to the exchange of practices and research in the performing arts.Within Paper / Northern Lights, the performance becomes a temporary extension of the installation: a traversal made of light, movement, and matter, where the body does not interpret the space but rewrites it for a few hours from within.
