Moby, born in 1965 in Harlem as Richard Melville Hall and a relative of Moby Dick writer Herman Melville, is an American musician, producer and activist.He started with classical music at a young age, then entered the punk and electronic scenes of the 1980s, and achieved fame in 1991 with the single Go. Since then he has sold over 20 million albums and collaborated with artists such as David Bowie, Public Enemy and Daft Punk.In addition to music, Moby is an activist for animal rights and numerous social causes.
