*Classica nel Cemento is born from contrast: from a hard, essential place and the desire to fill it with intense music, full of history, sensitivity and humanity.* **Saturday 13 June - Seventeenth-century Italian music for voice and theorbo - Duo Sospiro** Founded in 2018, the Duo Sospiro was born from the meeting of two musicians: Elsa Biscari (mezzo-soprano) and Carlo D'Ariano (theorbo) during the years ofstudy at the Milan Conservatory, where they developed a deep artistic affinity and a common passion for the Baroque and Renaissance repertoire.In 2023, with a program focused on the Italian seventeenth century, the Ensemble won the First Prize in the "Music with ancient instruments" category at the Milan Conservatory Prize, a recognition that testifies to the quality of their artistic and interpretative research.The Duo Sospiro aims to bring to light the richness of a repertoire which, despite being less known, is extraordinarily rich in beauty and emotional nuances, exploring the connections between voices and ancient instruments in an ever deeper and more intimate dialogue.
