Mick Harvey and Amanda Acevedo return with their new album Golden Mirrors (The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1), the first in a series of projects investigating the singer-songwriters for whom Harvey and Acevedo have a particular fondness.The new album sees the duo perform 11 songs by American singer-songwriter Jackson C. Frank, a nearly forgotten but recently rediscovered folk singer from the mid-1960s whose only release was produced by Paul Simon and who counted Laura Marling, Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Mark Lanegan and Fairport Convention among his fans.Harvey is known as a musician, record producer and composer who has been active for over 40 years, but also as a member of the Birthday Party and the Bad Seeds, as well as for his long collaboration with PJ Harvey and Nick Cave.As well as having made a dozen feature films and numerous shorts and documentaries, split almost equally between Australia and Europe, Harvey has released 9 solo albums over the past twenty years and has been the recipient of several music industry awards.
