On Saturday 27 June, Gabriele Gasparotti brings a concert to Palestrina that cannot easily be described as such.In the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate in Palestrina, sound mixes with incense, Buchla synthesizers dialogue with amplified water, music becomes a ritual.A sixteenth-century space that hosts a sonic ritual designed to occupy more than one sense at a time.Gabriele Gasparotti is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and director.What he brings to the stage together with the cellist and sound designer Benedetta Dazzi crosses hearing, sight and smell together.Buchla synthesizers, voice, viola, cello, magnetic tape, censers, incense, sacred herbs, bowls of water amplified with hydrophones and contact microphones.A sonic ritual that does not separate music from gesture, nor sound from the body.His album Tropismi was released on Important Records, the same label as Alessandro Cortini, Caterina Barbieri and Kali Malone, mastered by Rashad Becker in Berlin.One of his unreleased songs appears in the Buchlaïsm compilation alongside Suzanne Ciani and Morton Subotnick.Two of his short films were selected at the Venice International Film Festival.From 6.00pm, the Sound Garden, adapted in the convent adjacent to the Church, opens with audio / video installations, listening sessions in headphones, DJ sets, bar and food areas.The Sound Garden has free entry and without reservation.From 9.00pm the church opens for concerts which start between 9.30pm and 9.45pm.
