I Cardinals arrive in Italy for a series of dates in July 2026, bringing their debut album Masquerade to life, an intense and multifaceted work that has already projected them among the most interesting realities of the new Irish independent scene. Born in a small rehearsal room in north Cork, the Cardinals – formed by brothers Euan and Finn Manning along with cousin Darragh and school friends Oskar Gudinovic and Aaron Hurley – build a sound that constantly oscillates between emotional opposites: light and darkness, hope and despair, delicacy and tension. Masquerade brings together these souls in an album capable of uniting intimate ballads with sudden accelerations filled with urgency. Recorded at RAK Studios in London, the album preserves an "imperfect but authentic" aesthetic, leaving room for open interpretations and an imagery rich in symbolism – between religious references, narrative and observations of the contemporary world. The result is an emotionally expansive work, alternating moments of vulnerability with darker and more abrasive explosions.
