CAMPART FESTIVAL 2026 Petralia Sottana 31 July – 3 August From Sea to Mountains – The Story of CampArt Festival In the beating heart of Bologna, among the halls of the historic Academy of Fine Arts, an idea was born in 2009 that was not just an artistic project, but a collective bet. A group of students, united by a visceral friendship and a shared intuition, felt an urgent need to create a free, alive, spiritual space: a suspended time where art, nature and community could merge. That summer, the idea took shape and soul in Cefalù, on the Sicilian coast, with the first CampArt Festival: an artistic field, an immersive and wild experience made of tents, brushes, bodies, music and visions. Far from official circuits, CampArt became a sacred space for experimentation, listening, expression. From the start, music has represented the vital heartbeat of the festival. Live music spreading among the trees, sunset jam sessions, instruments resonating like extensions of the landscape. And then, with the falling sun, the DJ sets that transform the earth into dance, into nocturnal ritual under the stars. Every sound vibrates with nature, every note tells an encounter. Over the years, CampArt has grown, migrating and transforming, but remaining faithful to its spiritual and communal vocation. A festival that is also an inner journey, a return to the essential, a celebration of living together in nature. In 2025, CampArt changes home. From sea to mountains: the festival moves among the peaks of the Madonie and lands in the magnificent communal pine grove of Petralia Sottana, an enchanted place where the breath of the trees accompanies every gesture, every sound, every encounter. Here, among the shaded paths and the echo of the peaks, a new edition will be born, more intimate, more profound. The days will be animated by site-specific installations, workshops, performances, words that heal and images that happen. And then the evening and night, lit by live music and DJ sets, in constant dialogue between the pulsing energy of sounds and the stillness of the forest. The clearings become stages, the trees silent spectators, dance a sacred gesture. Petralia Sottana is not just a new stop: it is a new alliance between artists, inhabitants, trees and dreams. CampArt thus becomes a bridge between generations, between those who arrive and those who live there, between past and possibility. CampArt is not just an event. It is a calling.
