Information
Such is the cycle of life. It involves the vacuum cleaner and it involves “the people’s work” (“volkwerk,” literally): without the latter, the former would not exist; without the former, dirt would overwhelm us. Never has the hum of the world’s most widespread household appliance produced such a fascinating sound, blending from time to time with—among others—the oboe, violin, sirens, sheets of paper, aerosol machines, and electronics. Analog and digital merge into a spatiotemporal continuum feast for the eyes as well. The creation of Andrea Renzini and Gian Luca Patini blends with the fluid, oblique voice of SUZ, all united within the engine of the Great Universal Fan, which draws everything in and assimilates it all with its unstoppable centrifugal force.
