Information
Under the Quantic banner, Will Holland's efforts as a singer-songwriter, musician, producer and sound engineer run deep. From targeted solo productions and intimate collaborations to large-scale ensemble projects, his reputation is forged by the way he engages with local scenes and cultures around the world. Throughout his 20-year discography, what captures attention can be honey-coated synthesizers or the natural inclination of live instrumentation, or even the surprising performance of a singer, but whatever the style of each album, the Quantic signature is synonymous with sounds that enrich the soul. A lifelong musical explorer, Holland has dug to find records, collaborated with artists and developed projects on every continent, while developing his own deeply soulful sound. He has presented unreleased wonders from Ethiopia and has diligently compiled the extensive research The Original Sound Of Cumbia. Whether collaborating and traveling the world with soul legend Spanky Wilson or coordinating Ondatrópica with Colombian Mario Galeano and up to 40 musicians, Holland's approach to each project is one of total immersion and commitment. Quantic's latest album, Dancing While Falling, is in many ways an evolution. It is the most live, euphoric and, by his own words, most mature album he has ever released. The album, inspired by disco and house, saw collaboration from Andreya Triana, Rationale and Connie Constance, and culminated in an album that reached the highest positions of the 6 Music chart for months and months. An artist always in dialogue with his surroundings and ready to change circumstances by the will of inspiration, Holland has already guided the Quantic narrative through more ventures and expressions than we could list in a single text. With new chapters continuously being written, it is a story that only deepens with time – a true reflection of the eternally transient nature of global music. "Dancing While Falling" will take its definitive form on October 9 at London's Outernet, in a uniquely conceived live show. The show will incorporate the best of live performance and electronic innovation, capturing the spirit of "Dancing While Falling" while using Outernet's unique visual capabilities.
