SYMPHONY NO. 9 IN E MINOR BY A. DVOŘÁK OP. 95 "FROM THE NEW WORLD" with Euphonia Aps Orchestra Orchestration by Pierangelo Sequeri Direction: Alessandra Chiari Soloist: Francesca Cordone Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 From the New World is one of the most celebrated and beloved pages of the symphonic repertoire: an intense and visionary sound journey, born from the encounter between European tradition and the suggestions of the American continent, capable of evoking distant horizons, nostalgia and yearning towards the unknown. Euphonia APS Orchestra — an inclusive symphony orchestra based in Brescia, composed of approximately 30 musicians, over 60% of whom are people with disabilities, mainly under 25 — will present this extraordinary score in P. Sequeri's re-orchestration, enriched by electronic music interventions designed and performed live by musician Francesca Cordone. A contemporary dialogue is born between orchestra and electronic sound, which renews the listening and opens new perspectives on a timeless masterpiece.
