Born 1977, grown up in East Sussex in the years after Elvis' death and during punk's prime, Ed Harcourt has become over the years an elegant, appreciated gentleman with a reputation of the utmost respect. Eclectic singer-songwriter and refined composer, he was nominated for the Mercury Prize at 24 for his debut album "Here Be Monsters", produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows), has toured with Wilco, R.E.M., Snow Patrol and Afghan Whigs, has performed with Patti Smith, Marianne Faithfull, Lana Del Rey, Mark Lanegan and Nick Cave, and has counted among his fans artists like Lisa Marie Presley, Flood and Jamie Cullum. His experimental spirit has led him to alternate records of excellent quality with instrumental cinematic compositions and soundtracks, up to the publication of two albums in just under two years, the splendid "El Magnifico" of 2024 and "Orphic" of 2025, works that have brought him back into the spotlight for their extremely high compositional quality and elegance
