Information
Ed Harcourt, a sensational British singer-songwriter and composer, arrives in Italy for an acoustic tour, in which he will alternate between piano and guitar, proposing the best of his extensive musical production (12 albums and various collaborations and soundtracks). This unmissable appointment will once again be held at la Maison Rosè, a delightful concert venue that recently opened in the heart of Pigneto, in which Unplugged In Monti will bring part of the live performances of this 14th season. Born in 1977, grown up in East Sussex in the years after Elvis's death and in the early days of punk, Ed Harcourt became over the years an elegant, appreciated gentleman with a solid reputation. Eclectic singer-songwriter and refined composer, he was nominated for the Mercury Prize at 24 years old for his debut album "Here Be Monsters", produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows), toured with Wilco, R.E.M., Snow Patrol and Afghan Whigs, played with Patti Smith, Marianne Faithfull, Lana Del Rey, Mark Lanegan and Nick Cave, and has counted among his fans artists such as Lisa Marie Presley, Flood and Jamie Cullum. His spirit of experimentation led him to alternate albums of excellent workmanship such as "From Every Sphere" and "The Beautiful Lie" to instrumental cinematic compositions ("Beyond the Eye" and "Monochrome to Colour") and soundtracks ("S. Darko", sequel to "Donnie Darko"), to the release of two albums in less than two years, the splendid "El Magnifico" of 2024 and "Orphic" of 2025, works that brought him back into the spotlight for their very high compositional quality and elegance. "Orphic", released in November 2025, is a small masterpiece with winter tones, intimate and epic at the same time, the result of cinematic inspirations such as "Orphee" by Jean Cocteau and David Lynch's cinema.
