Information
The band was born with a very specific intent, in the years when reggae and rocksteady music resonated in the streets and was a form of community and socialization in a historical moment when social discomforts were more pronounced and the youth world more aware and active. That drive led Radici Nel Cemento to be one of the most emblematic bands of that generation together with fellow travelers of that movement between Almamegretta, 99 Posse, Sud Sound System, Modena City Ramblers, Africa Unite and Pitura Freska. 2025 was the year of maturity for the band, a great celebration and a tour that touched many cities in Italy and important festivals such as Festa in Tenda, TNT Fest, Bababoom Festival, Reggae Fest, A Piedi Nudi Festival, Festa di Radio Onda d'Urto, Notte dei Briganti and finally a performance for Reggae For Gaza in Rome. From March 21st the first of a series of new singles: SE RESTO SOLO, an intimate and introspective single. Reggae is always the backbone of the narrative, where the unmistakable voice of Daniele Coccia stands out, and the sumptuous guitar of Maestro Giandomenico Anellino intertwines and dialogues with other instruments creating a mood entirely unusual for the genre. During the summer, further releases with guests who have accompanied the band's thirty-year career.
