Village People is a group associated with the United States and formed in New York in 1977. Members listed for 1977 include Dave Forrest, Lee Mouton, Peter Whitehead, Mark Mussler, Victor Willis, Glenn Hughes, Alex Briley, David “Scar” Hodo, and Felipe Rose; Randy Jones is listed from 1978, and G. Jeff Olson and Ray Simpson from 1980. Mark Lee, Miles Jaye, Ray Stephens, and Eric Anzalone are also listed as members in later years.

The group’s releases include the albums Village People (1977), Macho Man and Cruisin’ (1978), Go West (1979), and Renaissance (1981). Can't Stop the Music, a soundtrack album, followed in 1980, with Fox on the Box (1982) and Sex Over the Phone (1985). A Village People Christmas is an EP released in 2018.
