ARTIST$uicideboy$
$uicideboy$ is a duo of cousins from New Orleans: Scott Arcenaux, Jr., known as $crim, and Aristos Petrou, known as Ruby da Cherry. Their music turns the fight against visible and unseen demons into an apocalyptic vision of hip-hop, described as sharp and corrosive, with punk intensity and Southern flows. The themes named in their biography include darkness, addiction, hopelessness, and pain.
Since 2014, they have released dozens of projects and played hundreds of sold-out shows. They have amassed billions of streams and earned several RIAA certifications: “…And To Those I Love, Thanks For Sticking Around” was certified platinum, while “Carrollton,” “2nd Hand,” “Runnin’ Thru The 7th With My Woadies,” “Paris,” and “Kill Yourself (Part III)” were certified gold. In 2022, they were among the most-streamed artists and reached No. 92 on the all-time list, with more than 15 billion career streams. Their third official full-length album, Sing Me A Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation, became their third consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200. Their biography also notes that they founded the label G*59 Records.
