ARTISTthe paddles

the paddles is a three-piece rock band from Neyagawa, Osaka, formed in 2014 by high school classmates. From the beginning, the group released demo CDs and toured. In October 2019, it released its first nationally distributed record. Its music draws on Japanese rock and pop, as well as alternative rock and power pop from the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1990s and 2000s.

In October 2025, the paddles began its first headline tour, 「余白を埋める -5大都市編-」, with every date sold out. On December 3, 2025, it released its third EP, 「結婚とかできないなら」. The track 「会いたいと願うのなら」, included on the EP, was selected for FM802’s November Japanese-music heavy rotation. The band was also confirmed to appear at the festival RADIO CRAZY for the second consecutive year. The latest EP named in the biography is 「All Time Love You」.
