ARTISTTerry Hoax
Terry Hoax is a quintet from Hanover that became known across Germany. During its earlier period, the group released four studio albums by 1996, as well as a live album and a best-of collection. Freedom Circus reached number seven on the German album chart. Its version of Policy Of Truth, originally by Depeche Mode, was played several times a day for a year on a British music channel. The group also performed in cities from Paris to London, Zurich, Vienna and Moscow, and at the Roskilde Festival; the biography also mentions two MTV hits and an album production in Los Angeles.
Terry Hoax returned in 2008 with a new lineup and new songs, described as fresh, fast, modern, pop-oriented and urban, with touches of punk and steam. By 2017, the group had released three more albums, written singles and made videos, as well as played club shows. The biography also notes support performances for Reamonn, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Foreigner and Beth Hart. The band’s eighth studio album is titled Celebrate Nothing.
