ARTISTTeddybears

Teddybears formed in Sweden in the early 1990s. The group is known for its eclectic musical style and large bear heads, while its original incarnation was a grindcore band. Patrik Arve and Joakim Åhlund met at art school in Stockholm, and Joakim’s brother Klas joined soon afterward. After the drummer left, the remaining members relied on drum machines, guitars, and vocoders. The result was Rock 'n' Roll Highschool, released in 2000, followed by Fresh in 2005.

Released in September 2006, Soft Machine was the group’s first U.S. release and featured guests including Iggy Pop, Annie, Neneh Cherry, Mad Cobra, and Ebbot Lundberg. Devil's Music followed in 2010, featuring Eve, B.o.B, the Flaming Lips, CeeLo Green & the B-52's, and Robyn. After several years away, Teddybears returned in 2015 with teaser tracks featuring Beenie Man and Cutty Ranks. Rock On was released in early 2016.
