ARTISTSiM

SiM, short for Silence iz Mine, established itself in Japan with a volatile blend of nü-metal and postmodern hard rock, driven by a hardcore attitude. The band describes itself as “Reggae PUNX from Japan.” Since forming in 2004, SiM has released six full-length studio albums, three mini-albums, and an EP. In 2022, the band wrote “The Rumbling” for the anime Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2; the song reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. SiM sold out Nippon Budokan in 2015 and Yokohama Arena, with a capacity of 17,000, in 2016. That same year, the band made its US live debut at Knotfest Meets Ozzfest.

Released via UNFD, PLAYDEAD is SiM’s sixth studio album. It brings together fast-paced rock and dance-punk anthems, and features “RED,” the theme song for the Netflix anime Kengan Ashura, as well as an orchestral version of “The Rumbling.”
