ARTISTPi’erre Bourne
Pi’erre Bourne, born Jordan Timothy Jenks, spent summers with his grandmother in Queens, New York, where he became interested in East Coast rap. Inspired by his uncle, a rapper and graphic designer, he began making beats in elementary school. He later moved to Atlanta to study sound engineering and pursue music. He began releasing music in 2014 and worked as a sound engineer at Epic Records from 2015, leaving the following year to focus on his career. In 2016, he released three volumes in his mixtape series The Life of Pi’erre and produced tracks for Young Nudy and Trippie Redd.
After meeting Playboi Carti, Bourne produced several tracks on Carti’s self-titled debut, including “wokeuplikethis*” with Lil Uzi Vert and “Magnolia,” which brought widespread attention to both artists in 2017. Bourne has worked on tracks by numerous artists, including 6ix9ine, Travis Scott, and Kanye West, and produced most of Carti’s Die Lit. In 2019, he released Sli’merre with Young Nudy and the mixtape The Life of Pi’erre 4. The Life of Pi’erre 5 reached number 35 on the Billboard 200 in 2021. Later releases include Good Movie (2022), Grails (2023), and Made in Paris (2025), his fourth solo album.
