Perturbazione formed at a high school in Turin. The band reached a breakthrough with the 2002 album In circolo and the single Agosto. It describes its sound as “anemic rock”: a musical subtraction that leaves room for emotional impact. In 2014, Perturbazione reached a broad audience at the Sanremo Festival with L'Unica. Its discography comprises about ten albums, including Del nostro tempo rubato (2010), Musica X (2013) and (Dis)amore (2020).

Perturbazione’s work has brought music together with theater, silent cinema and comics. In 2021, the band published the graphic novel Chi conosci davvero. In 2024, it reinterpreted De André’s La buona novella during a tour. Risuona arrived in 2026, a project translating and adapting pieces from the Anglo-American repertoire into Italian. The lineup comprises Tommaso Cerasuolo on vocals, Cristiano Lo Mele on guitar, Alex Baracco on bass and Rossano Lo Mele on drums.
