ARTISTDENA

Born in Bulgaria as Denitza Todorova, DENA moved to Berlin, where she developed a personal sound combining handmade pop, self-taught piano compositions, polyphonic harmonies, personal lyrics and self-programmed electronic beats. In summer 2012, her single “Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools”, released as an EP by the French label Kitsuné, went viral. DENA subsequently received attention from European and international media, including Der Spiegel, Guardian, Dazed & Confused and Fader, and performed at SXSW, in clubs and at festivals around Europe.

In 2014, she released her debut album Flash, a collection of bass-heavy, pop-inspired songs about the ever-increasing pace of human life in the digital era. Since the release of her first singles, DENA has toured internationally and played showcases, festivals and concerts around Europe, with her live band or solo. Her second album, “If It’s Written”, was released by Mansions and Millions in September 2018.
