ARTISTDamantra

Damantra chose the flickering look and honest grain of Super 8, born in 1965, as a reference point for their upcoming debut album. The record was handcrafted from beginning to end, including its instruments and amplifiers.

Better Off This Way brings together ten tracks described as a psychedelic blues-rock road trip, moving between groove, intensity, and quieter moments. Beneath the fuzz and fire are doubt and fury: an inner reckoning, the breaking of old patterns, and the pursuit of something real. Its scenes include a room haunted by old voices, an emptying living room, and a car speeding along a road that is too narrow. The journey is driven by Damantra’s determination to tear things down and carve out a way forward.
