Counting Crows is a group associated with Berkeley, formed in 1991. Members listed include Adam Duritz and David Bryson, both from 1991, and Dan Vickrey from 1993. Matt Malley was a member from October 1990 to 2005; Ben Ulrich was in the group in 1991, and Steve Bowman from 1992 to 1994. Ben Mize was a member from October 1994 to November 2002. David Immerglück has been a member since 2000, Jim Bogios since November 2002, and Millard Powers since 2005.

The group’s releases include the album August and Everything After, issued on September 14, 1993, followed by Recovering the Satellites on October 14, 1996, and This Desert Life on November 1, 1999. Hard Candy was released in June 2002. Later releases include Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings (March 21, 2008), Underwater Sunshine (or What We Did on Our Summer Vacation) (April 6, 2012), and Somewhere Under Wonderland (September 2, 2014). The EP Butter Miracle, Suite One appeared in 2021, and Butter Miracle: The Complete Sweets! was released on May 9, 2025.
