ARTISTBUCK-TICK
BUCK-TICK debuted in 1987 on Victor Invitation. In 1989, the band’s third album, TABOO, reached number one on the Oricon chart. Within two years of their debut, they had performed at Nippon Budokan and Tokyo Dome. They continued to develop a distinctive pop sensibility and a dark world view, incorporating cutting-edge elements of their era while shaping a musical identity of their own.
BUCK-TICK entered its 35th anniversary year in 2022. About 12,000 fans attended each of the September 23 and 24 anniversary shows at Yokohama Arena. The band then toured nationally with the five-disc best album CATALOGUE THE BEST 35th anniv., released on September 21, and concluded the tour at Nippon Budokan on December 29. In 2023, BUCK-TICK released the singles 太陽とイカロス and 無限 LOOP, followed by its 23rd original album, 異空 -IZORA-. After a hall tour and final shows in Gunma, the band announced that it would continue following the death of Atsushi Sakurai on October 19. In 2024, with a new lineup, BUCK-TICK released the single 雷神 風神 - レゾナンス and its 24th original album, スブロサ SUBROSA.
