ARTISTAnimotion

Animotion is an American synth-pop band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1983, the group emerged during the height of the new wave and synth-pop movement, combining electronic instrumentation with rock influences. Its best-known songs include "Obsession", "Let Him Go", "I Engineer", and "Room to Move".

The band’s self-titled debut album, Animotion, was released in 1984 and featured "Obsession", an international hit that reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. The group followed it with Strange Behavior (1986) and Animotion (1989). After disbanding in the early 1990s, Animotion reunited with its original members in 2001 and continued to perform live. In 2016, the band released Raise Your Expectations, its first studio album in nearly 30 years.
