AngelMaker is a six-piece from North Vancouver whose releases include a handful of split EPs, other recordings, and two full-length albums. The group describes its musical approach through a furious, diverse extremity, combining deathcore with blackened thrash, elements of power violence, and the urgency of underground hardcore. Its music brings together brutal aspects of death metal and the cold atmosphere of black metal, without the theatricality sometimes associated with those genres.

AngelMaker’s dual-vocal and triple-guitar lineup supports varied explorations of extremity, placing the band both within and apart from deathcore traditions. Emotion is also central to its music: the songs evoke sorrow, regret, anger, fear, and depression, drawing listeners into immersive journeys. In 2021, AngelMaker released its first new material in roughly two years. Crafted in recent months with producer Tim Creviston, it was mixed and mastered by Will Putney.
