ARTISTALI

ALI is a solo project led by vocalist LEO, who has Japanese, Spanish, British, and Filipino roots and grew up in Shibuya, Tokyo. Guided by the motto “Long Live Music!”, the project combines funk, soul, jazz, and Latin influences with hip-hop, rock, and ska in a crossover sound.

In 2019, ALI independently released “Wild Side,” the theme song for the TV anime BEASTARS. The following year, “LOST IN PARADISE feat. AKLO,” the ending theme for Jujutsu Kaisen, marked the project’s major-label debut. The track drew further attention when Shohei Ohtani used it as his walk-up music while with the Los Angeles Angels. In 2022, ALI made “NEVER SAY GOODBYE feat. Mummy-D” for the opening theme of Golden Kamuy. In 2024, the project contributed “Professionalism feat. Hannya,” the opening theme for the first cour, and “BEYOND feat. MaRI,” the ending theme for the second cour of The Fable. “CASANOVA POSSE” was selected as the opening theme for the first cour of Dr. STONE’s fourth season, beginning in January 2025. ALI performs in various countries each year, including Brazil, China, and South Korea.
